Enrichment Programs

Learning Phonics inspires confidence, imagination, and a lifelong love of literacy and learning!  Our phonics classes are for 2’s preschool students through school-age.  Our creative early literacy classes are focused on individual learning fun within a small group.  We provide children with the tools to recognize letters, blends and sounds, patterns, words, writing skills, literacy fun, and the ability to read small words with the great finale of reading! Learning phonics at SFCD instills pride in your little learner and is just tremendous for your child’s self-esteem! Truly amazing to be a part of this learning adventure with you!

Our STEM and cooking classes prepare our 2’s preschool through school age students in developing skills that will prepare them for school and for life! Participation inspires natural curiosity and learning through play with concepts using math, Legos® engineering, cooking, technology and science. Our classes at SFCD help develop problem solving, creativity, communication and understanding of these concepts.  STEM is about exploring the world around us and asking questions about how or why something works and is an important piece in developing well-rounded learners. COOKING class develops fine motor coordination, math skills, creativity, social skills, and knowledge of food/nutrition.  Tapping into the curiosity of our little learners, class participation nurtures critical thinking and sets the stage for future academic success. This is a super fun approach to learning and engagement!

Music is all around us every day at SFCD and we understand the power of music which exposes our children to multi-sensory experiences that enhance learning abilities and encourage cognitive development, language, social skills, memory, creativity, emotional intelligence, and helps relieve stress.  Our music classes for toddlers to school age expose students to musical concepts and being musical while helping our mind and body to work together. We learn mathematical skills like rhythm, counting, intervals, patterns, symbols and tone.  We use our creativity and imagination to explore ways to express feelings, ideas, and experiences through play and music. We learn social skills that help with teamwork and collaboration while playing in a group.  We learn motor skills by making and playing instruments. Music class is an awesome way to expose our little learners to music concepts and being musical! We love to dance, sing and play while learning!
